The Mercian Regiment Museum (Worcestershire) (formerly the Worcestershire Regiment Museum) is an independent museum, accredited by the Arts Council (Registration Number: RD633). The Museum is also a registered charity (Number: 276510), legally constituted by a Declaration of Trust dated 1 May 1978.
To collect and preserve the history, traditions and achievements of the Regiment, its antecedent components and those who have and are serving in it from 1694 to the present day and to present them in a way which entertains, educates and inspires as wide a range of visitors as possible.
The Museum collects and preserves the history, traditions and achievements of the Mercian Regiment, its antecedent components and those who have served or are serving in it from 1694 to the present day.
The Museum is recognised as an inclusive and progressive institution that contributes to the cultural offering and resources of Worcestershire, capitalises on the strengths of its collection and technology to reach out and provide an experience for visitors and users that excites, inspires and educates, and which generates sufficient income for the Museum to develop and flourish.
The Museum Trustees hold routine Board meetings four times a year.
